The hugely successful Maldon Festival of Arts is returning for it’s 3rd year.  The datwes for this year’s festival are May 27th - July 4th.

The festival is well known for bringing top quallity events to the area, in the fields of Opera, classical music, recitals, Theatre and much more.

The main events for this year will be running on the weekends during the festival period and the full programme is yet to be confirmed.  We will update this page as and when we receive details.  So far we can confirm the following:

May 27th - 29th sees the return of the popular “Shakespeare in the Park” in the outdoor setting of Maldon’s Promenade Park Amphitheatre.  This year’s production is “The Winter’s Tale” which is one of Shakespeare’s late comedies.

On June 25th the festival will be hosting BBC Radio 4’s “Any Questions.”

Any Questions? is a topical discussion programme where members of the public are given the opportunity to put their questions to a panel of personalities from the world of politics, culture, media and elsewhere. The panel is chaired by writer, broadcaster and political commentator Jonathan Dimbleby.

The public will be invited to join the live studio audience and put their questions to the panellists.  Details of how to get tickets will be given soon.
